How to Draw Manga Face (Male)

Drawing manga face in male version is relative same with how to draw female manga face.

But the difference are, first, male’s eyeballs are smaller. The male’s eyebrows are also tend to be

more thick. The male’s eyeliner also more flat and not too curve.

Types of popular male face:

Cute boy.

The cute boy’s eyes is the most kind of eyes that’s similar with the girl’s eye. But we should draw the eyeballs smaller to avoid the readers misgender it as girl character. The cute boy usually have their place in the anime fans, they usually have calm personality. But look can deceive. There are some manga character who have cute face but can fight and become badass too. (This character also my favourite character, the one who is cute but can change into cool character).

Lazy boy.

To draw a lazy boy character, first you must draw the eyeliners flatly. After that you draw the eyeballs , but try to draw the eyeballs less circle. Don’t forget to add a pair of eyelid. Lazy boy usually have their own charm and usually this character can be awesome if they choose to become serious.

Prince boy.

Prince boy character is similar to the lazy boy character. What make it different is that prince boy character have more curve eyeliners. They also have the eyebrows which are more turned down. Prince boy character always get more attention for the reader because their personality is “perfect”, but this character can also become a villain in the end.

Stoic boy

There are many ways to draw stoic male character. But the easiest way is to draw the boy’s eye without blocking ink. Just same with how to draw stoic girl, the stoic boy also has the eyebrows which followed their eyes. Their eyeliners also drew flatly. This stoic boy usually have strong power and like to throw many sarcastic comment to other character.

Hyperactive boy.

Maybe hyperactive boy in the anime is the most realistic character in the manga. Because you can find this type in the real life. Hyperactive boy always active, cheerful and friendly. Yet the weakness of this character is that they usually comment something without thinking and like to make a simple mistake. To draw this character, you can make the eyeballs in oval shape. Don’t forget to draw the eyebrows turned down to have “cheerful” appereance.
